The 10.3.0 release adds a number of improvements to the LinX technology including support for recording raw RTP streams, new object based DB engine and increase in limits on number of records stored in the DB.
In summary, release 10.3.0 includes:
- Support for recording raw RTP streams. Systems that are based on the LinX technology are now capable of recording:
- SIP sessions (calls) via SPAN port;
- H.323 calls via SPAN port;
- Unicast RTP streams via SPAN port; and
- Multicast RTP streams via SPAN port.
- The VoIP packet collector was improved to eliminate the need to specify the maximum duration of recordings on VoIP recording channels and the need to list the proxies and gateways in the configuration. Instead, the packet collector automatically detects when RTP streams stop and automatically detects proxies and gateways on SIP networks.
- Systems that are based on the LinX technology now use the latest generation object database engine which provides for improved performance and higher capacity limits. Archive databases continue to use the relational based database engine as before.
- The high and low watermarks for the number of records in the database was increased from the 350,000 to the following:
- 600,000 for LinX Essence when used in server mode;
- 500,000 for LinX Essence when used in GUI mode;
- 900,000 for LinX Evolution when used in server mode;
- 700,000 for LinX Evolution when used in GUI mode.
- The current version of the time zone data files is 2013c.
