The 10.9.0 release is a major release of the Total Recall VR LinX technology which powers the new passive and active audio logging and call recording products.
The major new inclusion in the 10.8.0 release is full support for recording in Hytera DMR networks which use repeaters that run version 7.0 (or better) of the firmware.
In addition, we have enhanced the Remote Manager Interface (RMI) and the associated API to use a generic streaming protocol for monitoring and playing multiple recordings simultaneously. In addition now it is possible to tag, lock and annotate multiple recordings in progress over the RMI interface.
Further, we enhanced the archiver to support DVD-R and DVD+R disc types.
Finally, this release upgrades a number of core LinX technologies to their latest version.
In summary, the release 10.9.0 includes:
- Tested support for recording RTP streams in Hytear DMR networks that are based on Hytera repeaters which run version 7.0 (or better) firmware.
- Support for Intel Ivy Bridge motherboards for LinX Omnia.
- Support for wide screen display on LinX Altus and LinX Omnia.
- Technology updates:
- Java SE 7 update 80
- ObjectDB 2.6.3
- Remote Manager Interface (RMI) enhancements:
- Generic streaming protocol for streaming multiple recordings in progress or playing multiple recordings that have completed simultaneously.
- Tag and lock multiple recordings in progress at the same time.
- Annotate multiple recordings in progress at the same time.
- Support for DVD+R and DVD-R disc types when archiving.
- The following defects were removed:
- It is no longer necessary to attach an AMBE dongle to Total Recall VR systems in order to play or monitor recordings remotely with PC applications. Note: an AMBE dongle is still required on the PC.
- NIC configuration is now correctly set when using duplicated drives.
- An error that was causing the application to terminate when logging error packets from the analogue DSP cards was removed.
- MSI-X interrupts are now correctly initialized on the EES-CDV platform.
- A defect that was causing archiving to disc to fail when using almost full discs, and in some cases blank (virgin) discs, was removed. Customers that are experiencing problems with archiving to disc should upgrade to this release.
- A defect that was causing search queries to take very long time (>30 minutes, and in some cases >1 hour) to complete after tagging (or un-tagging) all recordings on systems with large number of recordings was removed. Customers that use the tag-all (or un-tag all) function should upgrade to this release.
