The number of AMBE decoder channels that you may need varies and it depends on the use scenarios. The following is a guide that should help you determine the number of AMBE decoding channels that you may need with Total Recall VR and PC applications.
AMBE decoders are sold as:
- TRVR-AMBE – one channel AMBE decoder
- TRVR-AMBE-3 – three channel AMBE decoder
You can use multiple AMBE decoders in any configuration to get to the required number of AMBE decoder channels with Total Recall VR systems and PCs that run Total Recall VR applications. For example, if you attach two TRVR-AMBE devices to your PC, then the Total Recall VR PC appliactions that will run on the PC will have access to two AMBE decoder channels.
Total Recall VR Systems
In most cases you will need only one AMBE decoder channel on Total Recall VR systems. However, if you are recording call scenarios that involve console override, then you will need two AMBE decoder channels to monitor and listen to recordings of such call scenarios.
Total Recall VR Monitor
The number of AMBE decoder channels that you will need is the same as the number of recordings that you wish to listen to while the recordings are in progress. So if, you wish to listen to at most 4 recordings in progress, then you need 4 AMBE decoder channels.
However, note that you will need 2 AMBE decoder channels for each recording to listen to recordings of calls that involve console override. So, if the 4 recordings in progress are of calls that involve console override, then you will need 8 AMBE decoder channels.
Total Recall VR Desktop
